Houston Film Critics Society Presents: PERFECT DAYS

PG
124 min.

Hirayama (Kōji Yakusho) feels content with his life as a toilet cleaner in Tokyo. Outside of his structured routine, he cherishes music on cassette tapes, reads books and takes photos. Through unexpected encounters, he reflects on finding beauty in the world.

PERFECT DAYS embraces the quotidian details of life and simplicity. Not every day is perfect. Just that what’s now is now.

Wim Wenders (winner of the Palme d’Or for PARIS, TEXAS) was inspired to make the film after being invited to Japan to observe the urban redevelopment project in Shibuya, Tokyo, called appropriately “The Tokyo Toilet.”
