Set in the port city of Tampico, Mexico, Café Chairel tells the story of Alfonso and Katia, two lonely people burdened by loss, who find solace in each other’s company at a small café. The Houston Latino Film Festival is an organization dedicated to developing, promoting and increasing awareness of Latine culture among Latines and other communities by presenting a variety of art and films to the Houston area. Houston Latino Film Festival is submission-based and is currently accepting submissions for their 10th annual film festival in March 2026.
