Land of Canaan is an environmental portrait following Palestinian farmers and their ancient olive trees — some over 1,000 years old — as living symbols of heritage, livelihood, and resilience. Through the journey of a Palestinian American entrepreneur who returns to the occupied West Bank and discovers the olive crop is in crisis, the film follows a movement of farmers working to protect the ecosystem and preserve thousands of years of ecological knowledge.
After the film we will have a Q&A with Dr. Nasser Abufara, Founder of Canaan Palestine and the Palestinian Fair Trade Association.
