On October 5th at 8 PM, the ghosts of the River Oaks Theatre will rise from the shadows for one final—and decidedly unforgettable—performance. These glamorous, mischievous, drag queen spirits have haunted the theatre for decades, lingering in its halls, hiding behind the curtains, kissing in the rafters, and waiting for the perfect night to return to the stage. Now, the dead are ready to entertain the living.
With a wicked mix of comedy, music, glamour, horror, and high-energy drag, MACDEATH: the tired and tragic, long and dramatic tale of a gaggle of gags and drags who mysteriously, but fabulously DIED at The River Oaks Theatre brings a haunted tale to the Main Stage. Each entertainer embodies a different spirit of the River Oaks, revealing their own twisted tale of how they came to haunt the theatre and why they refuse to leave.
But! As the evening unfolds, it becomes clear that these queens aren't simply here to put on a show—they have unfinished business...
